Calling All Angels

Terri spent 25 years living in a state-run facility because most community-based programs were not able to provide the high level of support she needs. The busy staff at the Developmental Center weren’t able to give her the personal attention she needs to thrive, and the medication she took made it hard for her to express herself.

Las Trampas opened Sheila House last year specifically to give folks like Terri a chance to live in a community-based home. Since moving to Sheila House, Terri is an active, social, and engaged member of her community. She is able to be more independent. The staff have gotten to know her well and she doesn’t need to take her medication any more!

Your gift to the Angel Campaign makes innovative programs like Sheila House possible. We’re especially happy to announce that thanks to early contributions from our Band of Angels, we’re launching the campaign with $20,000 toward our goal of $100,000!

You can change the life of someone like Terri.

Won’t you join us by making a contribution today?
