OPEN POSITIONS:

Position: Community Support Staff
Department: Supported Living Services
Supervisor: Facilitator
Classification: At-will, Regular, Non-Exempt
Hours Worked: Varies – Relief position, part time only
Benefits: None
Salary: $10.00 per hour, $11.00 per hour after first 90 days

Under the direction and guidance of the Facilitator and the Director of Residential Services, the Community Support Staff (CSS) is responsible for providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities who live in their own homes in the community. Supports vary, as they are based on individual needs and abilities, but in all cases include providing direct support to the individuals in their homes and in the community. The CSS provides support to individuals by assisting them with managing their medication, preparing meals, assisting with bathing/hygiene/dressing needs, providing care and supervision, ensuring a safe environment, and accessing the community. Other supports may be needed depending on the individual’s needs and service plan.
Qualifications
• Associates degree or higher desired (experience may be substituted for education)
• Experience working with individuals who are developmentally disabled preferred
• Meet all State requirements for Direct Service Professional and Adult Residential Facilities (ARF)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to understand written and verbal directives
• Current and valid First Aid/CPR Certification a plus
• Current and valid California driver’s license, and a driving record that meets agency standards
• Reliable vehicle for transportation of individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform a two-person transport position and the team control position for individuals exhibiting behavioral episodes that threaten the safety and welfare of self or others.
• Must be available evenings and weekends

Position: Direct Service Professional
Department: Adult Residential Facility
Supervisor: House Manager/Administrator
Classification: At-will, Regular, Non-Exempt
Hours Worked: Varies – Relief position, part time only

Salary: $10.00 per hour, $11.00 per hour after first 90 days

Under the direction and guidance of the House Manager/Administrator and the Director of Residential Services, the Direct Service Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing operational support to Adult Residential Facilities (group homes) owned and operated by Las Trampas including providing direct support to the individuals served within the group homes, ensuring the care and welfare of the individuals served, and compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to Adult Residential Facilities and the services provided. The DSP provides support to residents with developmental disabilities, including but not limited to assisting them with managing their medication, preparing meals, assisting with bathing/hygiene/dressing needs, and accessing the community.

Adult Vocational Trainers needed for Vocational Day Program, ratio is 1 trainer per 6 consumers. The Day Program hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm. Must be familiar with DD population, responsible for providing job skill training to consumers in assigned groups, examples include public park maintenance. Pay DOE

Entrepreneurs Club Coach
Part Time

Responsible to: Associate Director

Purpose:
The Las Trampas consumers’ Entrepreneurs Club will introduce consumers to various business opportunities; teach them the basics of starting a small business.

The entrepreneurial coach will design and develop the curriculum based upon input from the LTI Vocational Program Director, staff and consumers. Create an outline and a list of business opportunities to choose in response to inquires by the consumers. Offer support to each individual, help them to discover and expand capabilities by providing training, planning, problem solving, personal responsibility and vocational endeavors.

Individual centered business planning will focus on consumer’s personal goals and interests The entrepreneurial coach is part of a complete business support team that includes members of the club, staff, and the consumer’s personal support network.. Consumers who by nature of their personal challenges require continuing assistance and direction will be individually supported.

Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent, additional education, training, Special
Education and developmental disabilities services or related experience preferred.
Must have 2 years experience working with individuals with challenging disabilities. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to communicate with consumers and their families, health care professionals, regional center case managers, support professionals and the community. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
